No one ever said your Friendsgiving table setting idea had to be boring! We’re sharing some tablescape inspiration plus a sparkling Pumpkin cider recipe to mix things up this Friendsgiving season! Friendsgiving is what you make it, anyone who can’t get behind a touch of blush pink on the Friendsgiving table isn’t even a real friend, right? It’s as good a time as any to start a new tradition!
We’ve also teamed up with ALDI to save you money on your tablescape and on great food so you can amp up your kitchen creativity without going broke, which what I called #winning during the holidays! We have an ALDI right near our house, and Jared and I are VERY into it! If you aren’t familiar, they’ve got an everyday range of high-quality products including fresh meats and seafood, gourmet cheeses and award-winning wines that will round out your menu. Plus all of the cute serving pieces I used are all super affordable decor items that ALDI carries for a limited time this season.
Since you already know we love being a part of a good cause, ALDI is teaming up with Venmo and Feeding America® to encourage people to add a new tradition of giving to their Friendsgiving celebrations by using the very first, custom-designed
Friendsgiving Turkey Hand emoji. Every time the Turkey Hand emoji is shared on Venmo this November, ALDI will donate 10 meals to Feeding America to help people in need, up to one million meals (learn more about the ALDI meal donations to Feeding America right here)!!
Now let’s get to some of the really fun stuff…
I’m a big fan of having a signature cocktail for a special evening, and this Nature’s Nectar Sparkling Pumpkin Cider recipe is SO easy to make. Literally, all you have to do it pour it into a glass over ice and garnish!
You can also make an alternate flavor version using ALDI Spiced Apple Cider in place of Nature’s Nectar Sparkling pumpkin cider. They also have award-winning wines that are significantly less expensive than most, which is perfect for toasting. I picked up the Coastal Cove Sauvignon Blanc as a secondary option for the table… and because I’m shamelessly very into the label haha.
Of course, we all know the presentation makes the drink, so I got these Crofton Moscow Mule Mugs and Stemless Wine Glasses from ALDI as well, which are available in December.
You can never go wrong with a well-stocked cheese plate on the table, which is perfect for nibbling until dinner is ready. I included fresh nuts, parmesan cheese, fresh green beans with ranch dip, cranberries, prunes, and prosciutto wrapped cheese wedges on ours.
I mixed ALDI serving pieces like the Crofton Porcelain Appetizer Dishes and the Marble and Acacia Board for the candied apples, veggies and chips, cheese plate, and pumpkin pie serving board mixed with my own disposable flatware and blush pink plates to match the runner.
For a little Texas twist, I included plenty of gourds, fresh product, pumpkins, and even spray painted ears of corn combined with cactus leaves for a fun twist on the traditional Thanksgiving tabletop decor. It still has the perfect not to the season, but with a conversation starter addition, if you will.
What do you think of the table?! It has all of your classic elements but with a modern twist and a light pop of color, which I love!
A big thanks to our friends at ALDI for partnering with us on this post! Sugar & Cloth is donating 5% of all sponsored campaigns to charity, which you can read about right here!
